Erasmus+

Study or intern abroad for a semester through the Erasmus+ exchange program.

Erasmus+ gives Medicine & Surgery students two separate tracks, and they're easy to mix up. Study mobility sends you to one of the partner universities UNIVPM's Faculty of Medicine has a specific inter-institutional agreement with, for 3 to 12 months of study, thesis prep, or — for the Laurea Magistrale in Medicina e Chirurgia specifically — skills training within the AFP medical/surgical internship tracks. Traineeship mobility is the other direction: you find the host institution yourself (a hospital, lab, or clinic abroad), and UNIVPM's involvement is approving and funding the placement rather than arranging it.

Both run on an annual cycle with a hard application deadline, not a rolling window — recent cycles closed 4 March for general Erasmus+ study and 10 December for Traineeship, each for mobility the following academic year. A Learning Agreement (the study contract between you, UNIVPM, and the host university) has to be signed before you leave; it's what makes the credits transfer back cleanly afterward instead of becoming a fight with your Course President later.

There's also a UNIVPM-coordinated extra route worth knowing about: the UniAdrion Italy consortium offers traineeship-only placements across the Balkans and Adriatic partner countries (Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro), minimum 60 consecutive days, aimed at students and PhD candidates across the consortium's member universities.

Start at the Faculty's own mobility page for the current bando's exact dates, partner list, and grant amounts — those change every cycle and shouldn't be treated as fixed here.
