In short
- We only email you updates if you tick the box when you join (or later on your Profile page).
- Email only, for now. New tools, blog posts and the occasional newsletter, made by students for students.
- Unsubscribe any time, in one click. We never sell or share your address.
What you're saying yes to
A friendly heads-up by email when we launch a new tool for MedTech students, publish a new blog post, or send a newsletter. That's it.
The newsletter hasn't started yet. Your tick just means we can tell you when it does.
Email only (for now)
If we ever want to reach you another way (notifications, messaging apps, social media), we'll ask you separately. Saying yes to email never covers other channels.
How often
A few a month at most. We'd rather send something useful than something often.
How to stop
Untick the box on your Profile page, or use the unsubscribe link that will be in every update email. Either one works straight away, and stopping is just as easy as starting.
What we never do
- Sell or share your email address with anyone.
- Send you updates if you didn't tick the box.
A note on account messages: if we need to tell you something about your account or the forum's safety, that isn't marketing, and we may still email you.
What we keep
The date, the wording you saw and your choice (yes or no), so there's a clear record. See the Privacy Policy for how long, who looks after the data, and your rights. Questions: hello@walexlabs.com.
